I think the reason for the emphasis on &quot;scientific&quot; records in this baby book has to do with it being published by a hospital. Maybe they had to justify publishing a baby book by making it seem more scientific, or maybe the hospital really was interested in ways to get mothers to keep more detailed records that doctors could use in treating their babies. In any event, it&#039;s all fascinating. Now back to those boots....
